Join us for our virtual Women in VC: Talking Tax - A Conversation about QSBS and OB3’s Impact on VC Funds and Venture Backed Companies on Wednesday, September 24th from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM ET (12:30 PM - 1:30 PM PT).
Lesley, Leia and Meredith will explore key changes to Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) rules and other tax developments that affect founders, operators, and investors in the VC ecosystem.
Lesley partners closely with clients—and in collaboration with her corporate colleagues—to gain a deep understanding of each client’s business goals and to help ensure transactions are structured in a tax-efficient manner. She advises on a broad range of transactional tax matters, including corporate, partnership, and individual tax issues at the federal, state, and international levels.
Leia has been representing clients in the startup and venture capital space for over 10 years. She advises early stage and high growth companies in connection with various corporate, strategic and capital raising transactions, and has led clients through hundreds of equity and convertible debt financings.
Meredith has 15+ years of experience leading M&A transactions. Based in our New York office, she represents buyers and sellers of venture and PE-backed companies. Meredith was previously a partner at Cooley. She earned her BA at Dartmouth and her JD from Duke Law (where she has served as a visiting lecturer on venture M&A).
