Women in VC: From Formation to Exit: Navigating Math in the Startup Journey (via Zoom)

Description

We hope you'll join us for our virtual Women in VC: From Formation to Exit: Navigating Math in the Startup Journey webinar (via Zoom) on Tuesday, July 23rd from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM ET (12:30 PM - 1:30 PM PT). Bianka Barraza, Chynara Tolubaeva, & Laura Cicirelli will join Women in VC hosts Alyssa Frederick, Chandra Shih, & Meredith Beuchaw for a discussion on the pivotal role of mathematics at every stage of the startup lifecycle. From formation to a successful exit event, mathematical considerations underpin the decisions and strategies that shape the trajectory of a startup.

Chynara is a Quantitative Analyst with over 5 years of experience at law firms working on various financial aspects of legal transactions, including venture capital calculations and liquidation models, to support legal proceedings or transactions. With a master's degree in Finance, she excels in structuring and optimizing corporate transactions through precise quantitative modeling. Chynara's expertise in quantitative legal analysis is instrumental in achieving successful outcomes, driven by her proactive approach and commitment to excellence.

Laura has been providing legal counsel on an array of corporate transactions for tech startups, venture capitalists, and financial institutions for nearly a decade. Prior to joining Lowenstein, Laura was corporate counsel at an Am Law 10 firm in New York City.  Laura is also highly involved in Lowenstein’s Women’s’ Initiative Network.

Alyssa has spent more than a decade in the SF Bay area representing venture capital funds and the startups and growth companies they back in venture deals, PE deals and M&A. Prior to her time at Lowenstein Sandler she practiced at Wilson Sonsini. She earned her BA at Yale and her JD from NYU Law.

Chandra has 10+ years of experience representing growth stage and early stage startups and venture capital funds and other angel and strategic investors. Based in our Palo Alto office, she helps lead the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network and Diversity Leadership Network and is dedicated to advancing DEI initiatives at the firm and beyond. She earned her BA and JD at Santa Clara University.

Meredith has 15+ years of experience leading M&A transactions. Based in our New York office, she represents buyers and sellers of venture and PE-backed companies. Meredith was previously a partner at Cooley. She earned her BA at Dartmouth and her JD from Duke Law (where she has served as a visiting lecturer on venture M&A).
